Casual Living Brings the Revitalization Effort to the City’s East Side

Crystal Lake, Ill. – 07 January 2006 – Casual Living Extended Stay, located on Algonquin’s eastern riverfront at 26 North River Road, has been working to bring the downtown revitalization effort to the rivers east side. This includes new signage with an architectural design that is consistent with the guidelines provided for the village’s revitalization program, new exterior landscaping, and a rebuild of the property’s pier.

Within the hotel, customers have been able to enjoy all new room furnishings and improved interior design. While further interior and exterior improvements are planned for 2006, the company has already spent over $20,000 for improvements and repairs over the last two years.

”The whole eastern side is being improved including Ericson’s Marina, new residental construction on North River Road, and our work at Casual Living” said Casual Living Owner Joe Scherb. “It’s making the downtown area an enjoyable place to be.” Last summer North River Road was officially recognized as a scenic drive by McHenry County.
